Now that it has been a few days, and I have drank all the alcohol in the house, and knowing that my following on here is smaller and less likely to flood me full of "god why did I post that", I'll just post this quick, hard and dirty recital of facts as an update.

The good: Chloe Rose Cat LTF arrived. She is gorgeous. Needs new eyes. Was dropped in marinara sauce first night I had her due to new kitten Bumi, which is yes, named after Aang's son from Legend of Korra. He is just as crazy as the name implies. Also adorable.

The bad: USPS can suck my non existant pecker. That is all.

The ugly:   This may be a repeat for some of you. Please bear with. My mom has been diagnosed with liver cancer. I am in no way shape or form wanting to talk about it right now.

Mom's cancer is inoperable. Chemo and radiation aren't an option due to it being on her liver, and that's what processes the radiation. It is on both lobes, so they can't cut it out. She can take a pill, but it will only slow growth, and prolong the ultimate diagnosis. The only "cure" is a liver transplant that the oncologist says has never been successful in California, because no one lives long enough to get a match. Her prognosis is 6-12 months. He thinks she's already had it at least a year, and it's already been a mini-miracle that she hasn't shown any of the symptoms as it is very aggressive and fast growing type. There is, quite literally, nothing we can do but sit back and watch and wait.

I was never any good at that. Thanks again for all the support and comments. If I don't reply, it's not that I'm not appreciative, I just can not coherently express anything but rage and grief at the moment, and anything else is beyond me.

So, new year, new journal design, got myself back into a premium account!

Overall, things are looking way way up compared to where they were last time I updated. I ended up pulling my ass out of the fire by my bootstraps (way to mix analogies, right?) and didn't have to sell any of the dolls. In fact, I did so well, (although I'll pay for it a bit come tax time, but worth it), that I have two new dolls on the way as well.  

A Dollzone Deerboy from their special event a while back, and I'm finally getting my Fairyland LittleFee El Elf boy, so I'm excited about that. Those are gonna be my last resin kids for quite a while, I think. Figuring out his character so far is very fun, he's like the opposite of Caidy in the elemental spectrum, all water and ice , where she's fire and lightening, so. Hopefully I'll be up to taking pictures soon too.

Spent a lot of the fall/winter sick, and ended up going to urgent care on Jan 2 because I was so miserable and froggy I couldn't stand it any longer. They gave me the good cough medicine with codeine and antibiotics, and I'm feeling about 110% better. They also said my blood pressure was high, which considering how much I hate doctors and what kind of job I work, well not a surprise there, really.  

I've also been playing a lot of Star Wars: The Old Republic, the new MMORPG out by Bioware, and I gotta say, I love it. It's not a perfect game, but MMORPG's tend to evolve and develop, if they're good ones, and this one is, so I'm content to stick around and blast things and lightsaber things to the face, because oh my goodness, so much fun.

I play on Wall of Light or Vrook Lamar, primarily on the Empire side.

I am going to go make myself some chicken soup and take my meds and catch up on Bones now!

I feel a little sick to my stomach asking this, but…..

Hey guys! Long time no talk!

All my fellow BJD photo enthusiasts, if you could help me out, I'd be appreciative. Some of you may be familiar with tumblr and the -rampant- BJD photo theft that occurs.

A lot of tumblr people, when contacted, will gladly credit or remove the image upon request.

However, we've run across a snotty little gal who is refusing to respond to polite nudges with anything but over dramatic nonsense.

Geekisthecolour is in the middle of attempting to get her reported to Tumblr for TOS violations, but to do that, we need the sources of the images she's posting. We've got some of them, but not all.

If you could help out, and spread the word, that would be awesome!

Still tired.

Soooooo tired.

Nothing new to discuss really, unless you want to talk about my new laptop (named Archangel) and my new Kindle (named Beast) which adds to my desktop (Colossus), my iPod (Quicksilver) and my old laptop (Nightcrawler).... are we sensing a theme?

Bought some new shoes for work which I was really excited about... and now have to send back because my fat swollen feet won't fit in them, so its back to looking for slippers that I can pass off as work shoes again. Ugh.

At some point yesterday I think I sprained my finger while I was sleeping. I don't remember doing it, but it's gotten progressively worse all night. I didn't realize how much I use the middle finger of my left hand... until everything I go to do with it hurts. Like flicking the turn signal in my car. And typing. Owwie.

Which means, even if I had more exicting things to talk about, I'm cutting this short. Hurts. Ow.


ETA: Is anyone out there decent with CSS? I want to make a simple, clean journal layout using some art of my dolls and I know.... nothing about it. Graphics I can make. CSS makes me weep.
